Licensed Therapy for Individuals and Couples Across California

Beach City Therapy was founded on a simple belief: that people are capable of real, lasting change when they have the right support. Based in San Clemente and serving clients throughout California via telehealth, we provide thoughtful, personalized therapy for individuals and couples who are ready to do something different.

Our Approach

At Beach City Therapy, our work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based approach that focuses on building psychological flexibility. Rather than fighting against difficult thoughts and feelings, ACT helps you learn to accept what you can't control, stay present in your life, and take meaningful action guided by your values.

In practice, this means we don't just talk about your problems. We help you figure out what actually matters to you, identify what's been getting in the way, and build a path forward that fits your real life.

About Jason Stewart, LMFT

Jason Stewart is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and more. He founded Beach City Therapy out of a genuine desire to help people move past what's holding them back and build lives that feel worth living.

Jason's style is collaborative and direct. Sessions feel like a real conversation, not a lecture. He meets clients where they are and works with them at a pace that feels manageable, not overwhelming.

Beach City Therapy is currently accepting new clients across California.

Why ACT?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is one of the most well-researched therapeutic approaches available today. It's especially effective for anxiety, stress, burnout, and the kind of stuck feeling that's hard to name but impossible to ignore. The goal isn't to feel happy all the time. It's to build a life that feels meaningful even when things are hard.

'“Accept - Then Act. Whatever this present moment contains, accept it as if you had chosen it”.

~Eckhart Tolle
